Amare was born in 1993 in Ethiopia. He completed his BA at Debre Markos University in Biology with high honors. He is currently pursuing his MSc in Aquatic Ecosystems and Environmental Management in the joint Master’s program at Bahir Dar University and Addis Ababa University, in collaboration with National Fisheries and Aquatic Life Research Center, Sebeta. Amare’s interests are innovation methods on environmental protection, natural resource conservation and Ethiopian developmental activities. He works on all three to ultimately make people’s lives better, especially the poor. Amare is also very interested in studying the history and resources of Ethiopia.
